1-Our company is currently recruiting for the position of Custom Clearance & Logistic manager, based in Iraq.
Job Description
To collect and check the original shipping documents from the Purchase department for submission to Customs and to make sure all documents are available before the arrival of goods at port.
Check the validity of the date of quotation and the item and its quantity to be in par with that of the Purchase Request.
Prepare undertaking documents/Shipping guarantees to customs authorities in case of documents shortage or delay and follow up with the clearing agents to close it
Prepare special documents to get approval for importing any hazardous materials that needs prior approvals from Government.
Prepare the request for payment for clearing agents and advance payment for high value shipments
Responsible for verifying dates of shipment & inspection, receiving pre-production sample, approval on packaging, payment procedure and handling all shipment documentations.
Follow up with clearing agents until the arrival of goods at our warehouse
Monitor and prepare reports to evaluate the performance of clearing agents and report it to Logistics manager.
Follow up with the Warehouse Supervisor to give a report on the safety of the goods and confirmation that all is in par with the Purchase Order and close the order.
Follow up with our clearing agents the status of all shipments under clearance and report it to the Procurement Manager on daily basis
Notify the Procurement Manager of any breach of agreement from the supplier, or any discrepancies between the received goods and requested or any shortage of documents. Prepare a report of that and notify the supplier of the matter.
Notify the Financial Department if any reductions or reimbursements are necessary
Skills & Experience
Business Administration & additional certification preferred
Prior experience in handling procurement in Oil & Gas sector
Preference of overseas study or work experiences
Must have excellent communication skills
Knowledge of laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and other requirements governing the purchase & clearance of commodities
Strong follow up skills with all parties involved
Analytical mind and thinking
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Self-motivated - results oriented with high adaptability
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
2-: Job brief
We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to buy products that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations. You will review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels.
Purchasing Officer responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers.
Ultimately, you’ll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time. Responsibilities
Research potential vendors
Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Review quality of purchased products
Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends Requirements
Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. Procurify or SpendMap)
Understanding of supply chain procedures
Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
Negotiation Purchasing Officer responsibilities include: Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
Negotiating contract terms of agreement and pricing
