The difference between " another & other

Let's start with "another" and "other." A lot of people get these two confused, but it's really pretty simple. Another = an + other. We use "an" for singular countable general nouns, so use "another" with singular countable general nouns. Use "other" with general plural nouns. By "general", I mean that there are more remaining in the set.
