We can't say "Travel with" but "By" because we use it as a mode of transportation ... So we travel by bus, train, car, etc.. But let us assume that you are traveling with your car on a ship .. It means you are taking it with you as a possession and not using it as a modeof transportation! I hope it's clear !!
