Description
The Iraq Health Access Organization (IHAO) is interested in hiring a social worker who will work on our GBV project in Mosul whose duties include:
Providing individual or group psychosocial support to GBV cases.
Conducting recreational activities to GBV cases to assist in their healing.
Performing outreach/ raising awareness/ advocacy activities in the area to teach the public gender based violence and draw cases to the center.
Proper distribution of dignity kits under guidance of the management.
Participating in trainings and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
Ensure that case files are secured and updated regularly.
Prepare and submit GBV services report in a timely manner.
Maintain GBV archives and files.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate will be a female graduate of psychology or social science with the following qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Having a positive attitude and a team spirit.
Minimum of 6-12 months experience.
Soft Skills in MS Office (excel, word) and e-mail.
Good understanding of current situation/ongoing crisis.
Competency in writing progress report.
Preferable qualifications:
Basic spoken and written English skills.
Experience in providing case management.
Prior experience in NGO work.
