Athletes are prohibited from cooperating with anyone from the WADA’s new blacklist
OTTAWA, September 11. /TASS/. Six Russians were listed in the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) blacklist of coaches, doctors and other sports personnel, who were to a certain extent involved in doping abuse cases, the international organization’s press service reported on Friday.
The list contains over 100 names of people who were involved in violations of international anti-doping regulations. Athletes are prohibited from cooperating with anyone from the WADA’s new blacklist.
The six Russians enlisted are: the former director of the Olympic Race Walking Training Center in the Republic of Mordovia, Viktor Kolesnikov (suspended until October 20, 2018), freestyle wrestling coach Imran Anzorov (suspended for life), rugby physiotherapist Andrei Kosarev (suspended for life), weightlifting coach Alexander Babedzhanyan (suspended until December 24, 2016), cycling doctor Sergey Lyakhov (suspended until November 4, 2015) and basketball doctor Yury Voronchikhin (suspended for life).
The over 100-names list compiled by WADA is dominated by coaches and sports personnel from Italy as there are a total of 61 Italian specialists mentioned in the document.
