KIEV, September 14. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on Monday the country’s parliament this week plans to consider a bill increasing spending on the country’s defense sector contract army in particular.
"The president noted that this document [a bill on changes in the state budget] provides for increasing financing of national security and defense and a number of issues of financing of the armed forces that require urgent solution," the presidential press service quoted him as saying at a meeting with the leaders of the parliamentary coalition.
"In conditions of actual ceasefire, we have a possibility to increase the contract component of our army," Poroshenko said.
He said the key item of the parliament’s agenda this week will be a governmental bill "on raising social standards and changes in the budget."
